READING COMPREHENSION: ANG PINAKAMAGANDANG PUSO VERBS

So here's a quick little worksheet to accompany last week's story! We're focusing on learning a few new words by studying their roots and usage in context.

Many of the words you'll see have prefixes and suffixes to create different tenses. Before we get into that, its best to understand the root words and their meanings! The more comfortable you are in understanding and identifying roots, the better you'll be at understanding the language as we go along!

For example, you may encounter a word such as tumakbo. Tumakbo comes from the root word, takbo, which means "to run". We incorporate "um" before the first vowel to make the word past tense, or in this case, "ran".

We'll delve more into um-verbs later, but if you'd like more information, check out this worksheet here. For now, let's get you working on your worksheet!

Download this week's worksheet here.

Be sure to study your vocabulary list because there may just be a quiz in a few weeks!
